The Rest of the Story
Robert Stuberg was born on September 22, 1959 and raised in Omaha, NE. He originally thought his life’s purpose was to be found in the field music. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Even though Robert continues to be passionate about music, he had a nagging frustration early on that there was something in addition to music that he should be pursuing.
As a young teenager, Robert was introduced to the audio recordings of Earl Nightingale, a famous radio and television broadcaster who eventually co-founded the Nightingale-Conant Corporation in Chicago. (Mr. Nightingale’s company helped create the audio learning industry and became the world leader in publishing personal development materials, now in business for over 50 years. Earl Nightingale was known as The Dean of Personal Development.) Robert had a great passion for Mr. Nightingale’s work, and he dreamed about working for Mr. Nightingale one day, even though he had no idea how he could make that happen.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Robert accepted a scholarship to attend Michigan State University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Music. It was during his first semester in graduate school at Michigan State University that Robert met an entrepreneur who had recently founded a new company and was looking for sales people. Robert was hired to work part-time. He quickly learned he had a knack for selling and marketing. He also discovered he was learning more about his life path and what he could accomplish with his talents from this newfound entrepreneur than he was in college. So Robert decided to drop out of graduate school and enter the world of business. He eventually started working full-time for his entrepreneur/mentor who got him hooked on business and entrepreneurship by recommending numerous books to read. Over the next 5 years, Robert held various positions in sales and marketing at his company which eventually earned its way onto the INC 500 list of the fastest growing companies in America.
After Robert changed direction toward a career in the world of business (and made music an avocation) he also began thinking again about working for Nightingale-Conant Corporation. On a chance meeting at a marketing conference in New York, Robert met Vic Conant, the President of Nightingale-Conant Corporation. Mr. Conant invited Robert to a lunch meeting with the company’s top executives. Robert had decided many years ago that he would like to work for the company so this turned out to be an interesting lunch to be sure.
After meeting Vic Conant and the companies other executives, Robert decided to make good on his goal to work for Earl Nightingale and his company. It didn’t happen overnight, but he eventually secured a position and started working for Nightingale-Conant Corporation in November of 1988. He eventually became Executive Vice President where he worked personally with the best personal development authors in the world including Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Denis Waitley, Deepak Chopra, Ken Blanchard, Wayne Dyer, Jim Rohn, Barbara DeAngelis, Robert Allen, and many others.
Over the years, Robert gained a rare insider’s view of the important work of helping people make the most of their time, talents, and lives. This led to Robert’s next step of becoming an author himself. He became the host of the company’s flagship product, INSIGHT, which was originally created by Earl Nightingale. Robert added a new interview feature to the product where he explored personal and professional development strategies and concepts with the company’s authors as well as outside experts who often became new authors.
In November of 2001, Robert retired from Nightingale-Conant Corporation to become a full-time entrepreneur. He formed Success Systems International, and began building his own personal development vision.
In 2002, as the Internet was gaining significant momentum, Robert Stuberg founded Success.com which quickly became the premier source for personal and professional development products and services worldwide. In 2008, Robert negotiated with Success Magazine to make Success.com a part of that publication. He also contributed numerous articles that were published by the magazine. Success Magazine was originally founded in 1891 by Orison Swett Marden and has been led over the years by such renowned authors as Napoleon Hill, W. Clement Stone, and Og Mandino.
After merging Success.com with Success Magazine, Robert Stuberg launched a new personal development website called Success.bz, which offered many new personal development products and services. The focus of Success.bz was coaching and developing a new generation of success experts. This website venture featured Robert’s ongoing Success Blog which contained his views on success. It also featured Success Articles, Success Interviews, Success Newsletters, Success University and his widely popular and innovative web-based life management program, LifeOrganizer™. Robert negotiated and sold the customized programming code created for Success.com and Success.bz in 2017 but he still retains the domains Success.bz and Failure.bz to offer free products designed to help others find their Unique Talent™.
Along with way, Robert created other companies including Strategic Publisher, Intent Management Systems, and Hypnology Research Institute. He also created proprietary software products including DreamVenture™, a virtual reality goal mastery game. DreamVenture™ has been called “The Matrix of Personal Development” because it allows you to enter a 3-D world where you experience challenging events that test and build your real-life time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Today, Robert Stuberg focuses the majority of his time on writing, coaching, consulting, and speaking as well as his passion for music. He lives with his wife and son in Michigan and Florida.
